Treatment time compression

Equipment and protocols

iTero 5D, Primemill, Exocad, Phrozen Sonic Mini 8KS, Formlabs 4B, EMS Airflow GBT, Woodpecker laser, CBCT. Straumann implants. Same equipment and protocols used in top US dental school clinics.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get dental treatment in Chile if I live abroad?

Yes. We regularly treat patients living in the United States, Europe, and other countries who travel to Santiago for dental care. The digital workflow allows us to compress treatment into a small number of in-person visits: an initial consultation with full diagnostics (intraoral scan, CBCT, photographic protocol), a clinical session for the major procedure, and follow-up sessions. Many cases that would take 6–9 months on a conventional protocol are completed in 3–4 months on our digital workflow.

Does the team speak English?

Yes. Dr. Pablo Atria, Dr. Camila Sampaio, Dr. Antonia Bozzalla and Dr. María Angélica Reyes are bilingual (Spanish/English). Dr. Camila Sampaio also speaks Portuguese. Pablo and Camila are active faculty at NYU College of Dentistry and have practiced in New York for years. Clinical communication, documentation, and follow-up are available in English.

What credentials does the clinical team hold?

Dr. Pablo Atria holds a Master's in Biomaterials and a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from NYU College of Dentistry, where he directs the Advanced Clinical Fellowship in Operative & Digital Dentistry. Dr. Camila Sampaio is Assistant Professor at the Apa Esthetics Advanced Clinical Fellowship at NYU College of Dentistry, with PhD and MSc in dental materials from UNICAMP (Brazil). Both maintain active academic and research positions internationally.

What treatments are best suited to short stays?

Treatments where the digital workflow compresses time most effectively: implant cases (immediate implant after extraction, immediate-load implants, All-on-4), porcelain veneers (digital design, in-clinic milling), full-arch rehabilitation, and digital smile design. We coordinate the schedule so that the major surgical or restorative session falls within your travel window, with provisional restorations carrying you through the osseointegration or healing period if applicable.

How long should my stay in Santiago be?

Depends on the case. Single-tooth implant with immediate placement: 1 in-person session of about 90 minutes plus follow-ups (return trip optional). Veneers (4–8 units): 2–3 in-person sessions over 7–10 days. All-on-4: 1 surgical session plus a return trip at month 3–4 for the definitive prosthesis. We design the calendar around your travel constraints during the initial consultation.

What technology and brands do you use?

iTero 5D intraoral scanner, Primemill CAD/CAM mill, Exocad design software, Phrozen Sonic Mini 8KS and Formlabs 4B 3D printers for surgical guides and trays, EMS Airflow GBT prophylaxis, Woodpecker laser, plus cone-beam CT (CBCT). All implants are Straumann (Switzerland), the implant system with the largest documented body of clinical evidence and long-term survival rates exceeding 95%.

Where is the clinic located?

Av. Presidente Kennedy 7440, Oficina 921, Vitacura, Santiago, Chile. Vitacura is a residential and commercial district in northeastern Santiago, 25 minutes from the international airport (SCL). Several recommended hotels are within a 5–10 minute drive of the clinic.

Do you offer remote consultations before I travel?

Yes. We coordinate a video consultation in English to review your existing records (radiographs, photos, treatment history), assess feasibility, and design a preliminary treatment plan and travel calendar before you book flights. This avoids surprises and lets you plan your stay around the actual clinical sessions.

Do Chilean dentists fall under any international licensing standard?

Chilean dental degrees are recognized by the Colegio de Cirujano-Dentistas de Chile and meet international standards. At Atria Sampaio, the founding clinicians additionally hold US-based academic appointments at NYU College of Dentistry, and the clinic operates protocols equivalent to those taught at top US dental schools. Documentation can be issued in English for insurance reimbursement, second opinions, or continuity of care with your home dentist.
