Veneers, whitening, and cosmetic treatments for a radiant smile

BOOK A COSMETIC CONSULTATION

Cosmetic dentistry encompasses a variety of treatments designed to enhance the appearance of your smile. At AS Odontología Digital, our dental clinic in Vitacura, we offer porcelain veneers, professional teeth whitening, aesthetic contouring, cosmetic restorations, and digital smile design using the most advanced materials available in modern dentistry. As specialists in digital dentistry in Santiago, we approach every cosmetic case with the precision and attention to detail that only cutting-edge technology can provide.

We design veneers with digital tools and select the ceramic according to the assessment of each case. During try-in, we review fit, shape and color before completing the restoration.

AS offers two whitening protocols: Philips Zoom WhiteSpeed in one in-office session without a home phase, or an in-office session without a lamp followed by custom 3D-printed trays at home. The evaluation helps select a protocol according to the staining and sensitivity. Color change varies, and temporary sensitivity or irritation can occur.

Aesthetic planning considers the teeth, lips, gums and facial proportions. Photographs, digital models and try-ins help us discuss treatment goals and limitations before starting.

Who is a candidate for cosmetic dentistry? Anyone who wants to improve the appearance of their smile can benefit from our cosmetic treatments. Veneers are ideal for correcting stained, chipped, misaligned, or irregularly shaped teeth. Whitening is recommended for those with dental darkening from coffee, tea, wine, or aging. Aesthetic contouring can harmonize irregular edges and minor asymmetries. During your first consultation, our dentist in Santiago will evaluate your situation and recommend the most suitable treatment or combination of treatments to achieve your aesthetic goals.

Regarding recovery, cosmetic dental treatments are predominantly minimally invasive. Ultra-thin veneers require minimal tooth preparation of only 0.3 to 0.5 millimeters, and the process is virtually painless with local anesthesia. Professional whitening requires no recovery time whatsoever. For veneers and cosmetic restorations, you may experience mild, temporary sensitivity during the first few days, which resolves quickly on its own.

Every cosmetic treatment is personalized. The first consultation at AS Odontología Digital includes professional clinical photography, iTero 5D intraoral scan, complete facial analysis, and a digital simulation of the result (DSD). With that information we discuss the clinical options, the materials (e.max, feldspathic, zirconia), and the phased plan before starting any procedure.

Our Approach

Every cosmetic treatment at AS Odontología Digital begins with a complete facial and dental analysis that includes professional clinical photography, 3D intraoral digital scanning, and facial harmony assessment. We evaluate the color, shape, size, texture, and position of your teeth in relation to your lips, gums, smile line, and facial proportions. We use the Digital Smile Design (DSD) protocol and CAD software to plan every detail with micrometric precision, showing you a simulation of the final result before we begin. We work with specialized dental technicians who craft artisanal restorations of the highest quality, using latest-generation ceramics that faithfully replicate the nature of the tooth. Our goal is to achieve results that look absolutely natural, reflect the best version of you, and stand the test of time with proper care.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long do porcelain veneers last?

Lifespan varies with the tooth, preparation, bite and care. Veneers can fracture or debond and may need repair or replacement. Published study results describe groups of patients; they do not guarantee how many years a veneer will last in your case.

Does teeth whitening damage enamel?

Whitening requires a prior evaluation and use of the product as directed. It can cause tooth sensitivity and gum irritation; supervision helps identify problems and adjust treatment. We do not guarantee an absence of discomfort.

What is the difference between veneers and crowns?

Veneers are ultra-thin shells that bond to the front surface of the tooth, requiring minimal preparation of 0.3 to 0.5 mm. Crowns cover the entire tooth and are used when there is greater tooth destruction or more structural strength is needed.

Can I combine whitening with veneers?

Yes, it is a very common and recommended combination. We generally perform whitening first to lighten the natural teeth and then fabricate the veneers in the desired shade for a uniform, harmonious result.

Can I see what my smile will look like before treatment?

Yes. We use the Digital Smile Design (DSD) protocol and simulation software to show you a preview of the final result. We also fabricate a provisional mock-up that you can try on before approving the definitive design.

Do veneers look natural?

Absolutely. Our veneers are crafted from latest-generation ceramics that replicate the translucency, texture, and color of natural enamel. Each veneer is custom-made to integrate harmoniously with your teeth and facial features.

What does a first consultation for cosmetic treatment include?

Complete aesthetic analysis: professional clinical photography, iTero 5D intraoral scan, facial analysis, occlusal evaluation, and a digital simulation of the result (DSD). With that information we present the clinical options and the materials appropriate to your case.

Does cosmetic treatment require many appointments?

The number of visits depends on the procedure and your assessment. We will explain the stages, try-ins and follow-up before agreeing on a schedule. Veneers do not have a single timeline for every case.
